English Language
English is currently the primary language of international business and the most widely used language for global communication. Contrary to popular belief, however, it is not an easy language. Although many people study English, only a small proportion achieve genuine fluency.
Mastering English requires acquiring an extensive vocabulary and learning how to use it accurately and appropriately — something that is only possible after many years of intensive study and professional experience as a translator.
For English, we offer our widest range of services. When commissioning a translation into English, you may choose between British English and American English. For business texts, we provide translations at the standard of The Economist and the Financial Times.

How Do We Count Characters?
To count characters or words, we use the widely recognised Word Count tool in Microsoft Word. To calculate the number of pages, the figure shown under “Characters (including spaces)” is divided by 1,500 for standard translations and by 1,125 for sworn translations.
For example, if a translated document contains 23,456 characters, this is calculated as 15.6 standard pages for a regular translation, or 21 standard pages for a sworn translation.
Whether a text becomes longer or shorter after translation depends on the language involved. For example, a translation into English may be up to 10% longer than the original Polish text. Clients are always informed in advance about any expected change in length before the order is accepted, so the final price is known from the outset.
How much does a translation cost? How do you calculate the number of characters?
